For permanent residency through Express Entry, a minimum language proficiency of CLB 7, or a minimum of 6.0 for each section of the IELTS test, is required.

I know the visa process is quite difficult and confusing to do it on your own. I suggest you directly get in touch with Study Abroad Experts here. They have been assisting students for the visa process from a long time now. So they would able to help you with all the relevant information for FREE as well as assist you in the complete process.

Hope this helps!

A score of 6 in the IELTS can qualify you for a Canadian study visa; however, the acceptance depends on several factors. This score meets the minimum language requirement for a Canadian study permit, which is often set at a band 6 for English proficiency by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). However, individual institutions may require higher scores based on their admission policies.

For successful visa approval, it’s not just the IELTS score that matters. Your overall profile, including previous academic performance, the course you intend to pursue, and your financial readiness to cover tuition and living expenses, are critically evaluated. Additionally, some programs, especially at the graduate level or those in fields requiring strong English skills, might demand higher IELTS scores.

It’s advisable to check the specific requirements of the universities you are interested in and consider if enhancing your English skills might broaden your opportunities. Preparing a comprehensive application that reflects your academic capabilities, career objectives, and readiness for studying in Canada is crucial for success.
