Well to start preparing for a MS in the USA, I would first suggest that you know about American universities. What I mean is that unlike the UK orsay any other European countries, USA-based universities are more focused on offering overall oriented programs. So even in highly specialized courses, you will find some universal electives.

For the first step, start preparing your academic document like your undergraduate degree, transcripts, CV/resume and more. When you will apply for the program, this will be the very first thing you will be asked to submit. After some arranging these things, you need to work out on your standard test scores. These are GRE/GMAT or SAT and more importantly English language tests.

The English language test is a priority because USA universities prefer TOEFL or IELTS. So in any case if you can make yourself comfortable with TOEFL, definitely choose it. It may not be a tie breaker but it can surely nudge a favor in your direction. GRE and GMAT are both good, but go for GRE instead. GMAT is only business program centric while GRE is universal.

After this, you can start preparing your Essays, SOP and LORs. The universities themselves recommend that you start on your SOP a month before your application submission. As for your LORs, request them from your recommender 2-3 months before your application deadline. It's just safe thinking. However in terms of Essays, I would recommend starting doing it on a regular basis whenever you can. Even if you are 2-years away from applying. Because Essaya are what need more understanding.

After this you can submit your application for the university of your choice. Make sure to present relevant undergraduate degrees for specialized courses. Many directional or STEM programs require specific subjects in your previous education. So after submission of your application the admission committee will shortlist you and inform you for the interview if needed. After that you are  pretty much done with it. Oh ya, if you get selected, start on you visa process.

In case you need a full detailed analysis, share your profile with our team so we can decide the very best ways for you. Because of different courses and universities, the admission process varies. Hope it helps.
