I have a degree in Computer Science Engineering. My overall percentage is 67.8%. I know it is not that good but I am aiming for a good score in TOEFL (above 110) and GRE (320+). Will it help?

Which universities in US could offer me a seat in MS/M.Tech/ME?

The GRE scores don't matter much regarding admissions for an MS in computer science.

Your whole profile matters for admissions, especially (and perhaps most importantly) how well it aligns with the university's current priorities (the research and the courses taught). A strong Statement of Purpose (SOP) is required to demonstrate your compatibility and gain admission. I can promise you that you can get into any university you apply to if you strive to be as coherent as you can in your SOP, although the choice will undoubtedly depend on the reader.

Firstly decide where you want to study. So many things are based on it. And be very selective about the location and consider all the parameters like environment, climate, language, etc.

Here is the list of universities where you can apply for a 300+ score on the GRE.

  1. Texas Tech University
  2. Wayne State University
  3. California State University
  4. Missouri State University
  5. New Mexico State University
  6. North Dakota State University
  7. University of Texas-Arlington
  8. Clarkson University
  9. Wright State University

For academic profiles in the USA, it is always advised to have a CGPA of 7.5–8.0 and a GRE score of 315–320 to be admitted to the best colleges for MS programmes in science and technology.

The top institutions for computer science are those. Based on a poll of academics at comparable institutions, each school's score indicates its average ranking:

  • The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Cambridge, United States, ranked #1
  • Stanford University, United States, stands at #2
  • The Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh, United States, results at #3
  • The Northeastern University, the USA, lies at #6
  • Harvard University, US
  • The University of California, Berkeley, US

The requirements for an MS in Computer Science may vary between universities. For the majority of universities, few of the admittance requirements never change.

Ultimately, whether a GRE score of 300 is good isn't determined solely by percentiles—you must also know what your specific programs are looking for regarding GRE scores. Your entire profile is considered for admissions, but probably most significant is how well it fits the university's present aims (the research and the courses taught). You must prove your suitability and admission with a compelling Statement of Purpose (SOP). Even though the decision will likely rely on the reader, I can assure you that if you try to be as lucid as possible in your SOP, you can get into any university to which you apply.
