I have 7.58 gpa but I was amongst top 10% of my class. I have more than 3 yrs experience of working in a software industry and want to target a good uc school for ms in cse. Can that be done?

Your work experience looks promising but what you also need to mention is the organization and skillset involved in this work experience. While your bachelor’s GPA is not exceptional but I think you can still make it. 

While bachelor’s GPA and work experience are important factors but not the only ones to decide your fate. 

The majority of the universities admit candidates with an undergraduate degree in a related field (like Computer Science, Electronics, Computing, or ICT). Eligibility criteria for MS in Computer Science may differ from university to university. Few of the entry requirements remain the same for a majority of the universities that we have mentioned below. 


A bachelor's degree in a related field

English language scores like IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or Duolingo

Latest resume

A Statement of Purpose (SOP)

LORs (Letter of recommendation)

GRE or GMAT scores (may vary according to university)
