You can, indeed. You should have earned a passing grade in Physics and Mathematics in your 10+2 course. If not, you can pass these tests through Open School before applying for the program. However, to become a pilot, you must meet specific educational requirements,

Being a pilot requires a particular set of skills. First and foremost, a person must not be terrified of heights and must be passionate about flying those vehicles. One should have good muscle and mental coordination. While flying, it's crucial to have the capacity to keep your composure in any situation and put your theoretical knowledge into practice. A pilot must think quickly because he controls many people's lives. Finally, one should be self-assured, patient, dedicated, and responsible.

A Pilot or Co-Pilot has a challenging and rewarding job. To become a pilot, you must obtain the Student Pilot License (SPL), Private Pilot License (PPL), often known as the Hobby License, and Commercial Pilot License (CPL).

For the Commercial Pilot License (CPL), at least 250 hours of flying are required (including 60 hours for the PPL). In addition, you must have 200 hours of solo flying experience to obtain a CPL. You must also pass an exam covering air regulations, aviation meteorology, air navigation, technical planning, and radio and wireless transmission communications.

Additionally, a group of medical professionals authorized by the DGCA and the Central Medical Establishment (CME) of the Air Force Unit will conduct a medical fitness examination on you. A commercial pilot's training typically lasts a year.

One must be between 18 and 30 and have passed the 10+2 exam with Physics and Mathematics to be eligible for a CPL. Eyesight should be 6/6, and the minimum height should be 5 feet. For those in aviation who work hard, the sky's the limit regarding compensation.

A trainee Pilot or Co-Pilot
Salary: Rs. 60,000 – 70,000

Senior commander
Salary: 4 lakh – Rs. 5 lakh per month.

A pilot's overseas training may cost between Rs. 15 and 20 lakh; however, given the high compensation of pilots, the expense can be repaid quickly. Pilots can make more money depending on their level of expertise, employer, and the type of aircraft they fly. The Expatriate Pilots are eligible for a high salary of $9,500 to $11,000. (for the new wide-bodied plane).

Therefore, yes, you can switch careers, but you must work hard and be dedicated all the time.
