I am planning to apply for Fall 2023 in MS computer science. I gave my GRE exam recently and got a 301 score. So is it possible to get into good universities based on this scores?

The GRE scores don't matter much regarding admissions for an MS in computer science.

Your whole profile matters for admissions, especially (and perhaps most importantly) how well it aligns with the university's current priorities (the research and the courses taught). A strong Statement of Purpose (SOP) is required to demonstrate your compatibility and gain admission. I can promise you that you can get into any university you apply to if you strive to be as coherent as you can in your SOP, although the choice will undoubtedly depend on the reader.

Firstly decide where you want to study. So many things are based on it. And be very selective about the location and consider all the parameters like environment, climate, language, etc.

Here is the list of universities in which you can apply for a 301 score on the GRE.

  1. Texas Tech University
  2. Wayne State University
  3. California State University
  4. Missouri State University
  5. New Mexico State University
  6. North Dakota State University
  7. University of Texas-Arlington
  8. Clarkson University
  9. Wright State University

Ultimately, whether a GRE score of 300 is good isn't determined solely by percentiles—you must also know what your specific programs are looking for regarding GRE scores.
