INSEAD interviews are unique because they’re conducted by alumni, not admissions staff, so they often feel informal—but don’t be fooled, they carry weight. The key is storytelling and self-awareness.
Start by reviewing your essays—interviewers often refer to things you’ve written and ask you to elaborate. Be prepared to discuss your motivations for pursuing an MBA, especially why now, and why INSEAD in particular.
They’ll almost always explore:
- Your international experiences or ability to work across cultures
- Leadership examples—especially in challenging or diverse environments
- How you handle conflict or failure
- Your short-term career goals and how realistic they are
Don’t over-script your answers. Alumni appreciate genuine, thoughtful responses. If you’ve had exposure to multiple countries, teams, or industries, bring those stories forward—it aligns well with INSEAD’s global identity.
