Hello Anitha, how are you doing?

So the answer to your question is very subjective. The cost of studying in Korea is generally not very expensive. As compared to other countries the accommodation, food, tuition fee etc. all combined is lower in Korea.

Why don't you tell me about the course that you are looking to pursue? Maybe then I would be able to help you with the exact figures.

Studying in Korea offers a dynamic educational experience, with costs that are generally favorable compared to other popular international study destinations. For tuition, public universities in Korea are an economical option, with fees generally ranging between $2,000 to $4,500 per semester. Private universities tend to be more expensive, with tuition costs from $3,000 to $7,000 per semester.

Living expenses in Korea depend largely on your lifestyle and location. In major cities like Seoul, you might expect your living costs to be about $800 to $1,500 per month, covering accommodation, meals, transportation, and other personal expenses. More affordable options are available in smaller cities or through university housing, which can significantly cut down accommodation costs.

It’s also worth considering additional costs such as health insurance, textbooks, and personal expenses when budgeting for your studies. Korea also offers various scholarships for international students, which can help alleviate some of the financial burdens. These scholarships are often provided by the Korean government, universities themselves, or other international scholarship programs, and can cover both tuition fees and living expenses.
