If you are targeting LBS, let me just tell you that LBS prioritizes candidates who have relevant business background or even qualification. Well it actually goes for all European universities. Compared to the USA, Canada and Australia European countries offer more specialized degrees and ask for relevant education. So consider it as a step for getting into LBS.

To get admission you will have to go through the admission process that starts with the online application. The first step is going to the program page and applying for it. When you apply to the program you will be asked to submit various documents as required. For example your previous education, academic transcripts, GMAT/GRE, LORs, SPO, Essay etc.

However make sure to check all details of standard tests scores. Because LBS is a pretty big institute and generally will require quality scores. Also for business scour specifically, you will need already 3-years of work experience or exceptional academics in return. The average work experience of an MBA class profile at LBS  is 5.5-years. So there you go.

After you are done with your online application there is nothing more you can do about it. The next step will be from LBS. If you get shortlisted you will get an invitation for your interview (based on program requirements of course). Keep in  kind that an interviewer does not guarantee admission. So after that it will be complimentary on LB to decide whether you are a fit for the program or not. If you get selected you should start on your visa process.

Needless to say, all you can do to improve your chances is prepare your standard required documents with extra care. What I mean is your Essays, LORs and SOP are far more important than you think. Because let's face it, you can not really do much about your scores. And in many cases a quality Essay rules over better grades. So be prepared.

Gaining admission to London Business School (LBS) is a coveted goal for many aspiring candidates. As a consultant, I can offer a detailed roadmap and some strategic advice to enhance your application.

Preparation and Requirements:

First and foremost, understand that LBS looks for a high degree of academic excellence. A strong GMAT or GRE score is crucial; the average GMAT score for successful applicants hovers around 700. Ensure your academic records and standardized test scores reflect your capability and readiness for the rigorous demands of LBS.

LBS values diverse professional backgrounds that enrich classroom discussions and group projects. Applicants typically have five years of work experience. Highlighting your professional achievements, leadership experiences, and how they have prepared you for a business career can set your application apart.

Essays and Interviews:

Your essays should not only speak to your past accomplishments but also reflect your future aspirations and how LBS will help you achieve them. Be genuine and clear about your goals. If invited for an interview, which is often the case for successful candidates, demonstrate your interpersonal skills, clarity of thought, and passion for business.

Engage with alumni and current students to gain insights into the LBS experience. Such interactions can provide invaluable information and help you tailor your application to align with the school’s ethos.

Finally, consider the broader economic and business landscapes, as LBS seeks candidates who can navigate complex global markets. Stay informed about global trends, as this will not only help during your application process but also throughout your studies.

In conclusion, securing a place at LBS requires thorough preparation, from academic readiness to professional and personal introspection. Equip yourself with knowledge, prepare strategically, and you will increase your chances of admission.
