How can I improve my GMAT score with my current mock scores (Q42, V22, IR7)?

I just took a GMAT mock and scored Q42, V22, IR7. I know Verbal is pulling my score down. What should I focus on next to improve my overall score?

With Q42, V22, IR7, you&rsquo;re actually in a solid spot for Quant, but Verbal is where most of your score improvement will come from.
Start with Sentence Correction. GMAT repeats core grammar rules like subject-verb agreement, modifiers, and verb tense. Drill 20&ndash;30 official SC questions daily and build a rulebook from your mistakes.
For Critical Reasoning, slow down and break each argument into its conclusion, premises, and assumptions before tackling the answer choices.
Reading Comprehension often makes or breaks Verbal at this level. Read one GMAT passage daily, summarize the main idea, and practice eliminating extreme answer choices.
Keep Quant steady with short review sessions. Your Q42 is already strong enough to support a good overall score if Verbal improves.  If you can push Verbal to even V28&ndash;30, your overall score will climb sharply.

At Q42, V22, IR7, the priority is still Verbal, but a small IR boost can also help the overall GMAT Focus score.

Start Verbal work by drilling Sentence Correction. Build a personal grammar cheat sheet for common error types.
For Critical Reasoning, practice mapping out argument structure before reading answer choices. Avoid jumping into options too fast.
Spend 10&ndash;15 minutes daily on Reading Comprehension: read short passages, identify the main point, and practice eliminating wrong answers.
Quant can stay in maintenance mode. Short mixed sets 3 times a week are enough to hold your Q42.
For IR, focus on multi-source reasoning and two-part analysis questions. They&rsquo;re highly pattern-based and can be improved with short daily drills.
Take full GMAT Focus mocks every 7&ndash;10 days. Track progress across all three sections to adjust study balance.
