Hey! With a GPA of 8.9, a departmental gold medal from NIT in CSE, and three internships, your profile is already strong. If you get a GRE score around 320, you will be in a good position to apply to many top universities abroad.

For dream options, you can look at schools like CMU, Georgia Tech, UT Austin, and UC Berkeley. These are very competitive, but your academics and internships give you a fair chance—just make sure your SOP and LORs are really strong.

For target universities, you can consider Purdue, UC San Diego, USC, and University of Wisconsin-Madison. These schools have great CSE programs, and your profile matches what they usually expect.

If you want a few safe options, look at ASU, NCSU, Stony Brook, or University at Buffalo. These are well-known for CS, have good placements, and offer decent chances of getting in with funding. Let me know if you also want suggestions for Europe or MIM options!

Well, with a profile like yours—8.9 GPA, gold medal from NIT CSE, and 3 solid internships—you’re already in a strong spot! If you land a 320+ in GRE, you can definitely aim for some of the top universities in the US.

For dream schools, you should totally give it a shot at places like CMU, Georgia Tech, and UT Austin—especially if you can write a strong SOP and have at least one good LOR from your profs. These are highly competitive but not out of reach with your profile. For safe and target options, UC Irvine, NCSU, ASU, and Stony Brook are great for CSE and have a good mix of research and placements.

Just keep in mind—apart from GRE, your SOP and LORs matter a lot. If you can show your projects or internships had impact, you’ll stand out even more. You’re already ahead, bro—just prep well for the GRE and go all in!
