It’s great that you have decided to study abroad because it undoubtedly has a lot of benefits:

The dream of studying abroad has now become a reality for many Indian students, regardless of their financial circumstances. Thanks to education loans and scholarships that have made studying abroad much more accessible. An education loan is guaranteed if you can present the required documentation like your visa and id proof, meet the eligibility conditions i.e a GRE/GMAT score, a TOEFL/IELTS score, and have a strong track record in academics such as a bachelor GPA of 3.0 and above.

2. Career Opportunities

When compared to an MSc from an institute in India, an MSc from a prestigious institute like Harvard or Kellogg will definitely add weight to your career. This is not intended to degrade MSc programmes in India; rather, companies in India themselves prefer to choose applicants who have completed their education and work experience in a foreign country over those who have done the same education and work experience in India.

Moreover, studying in a foreign country will increase your chances of landing a job there. Countries such as the USA, for example, allow international students to stay in the country for up to two years if they have the relevant skills which you can gain only while studying there.

3. Research Opportunities

There is no doubt that the research opportunities available in countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States are of higher quality and expertise than those available at Indian institutes. This is one of the main reasons why Indian students choose to study in other countries. Because they have a resume that can impress potential employers, many students come to India and take up relevant jobs or teaching assignments.

4. Personality Development

While you study abroad, you will be exposed to a diverse group of people, cultures, and ways of life. You may feel homesick and lonely at times, but this is only for a short period of time; it will eventually turn you into a self-sufficient and responsible individual with a more positive attitude towards life and people and contribute to overall personality development.

In my opinion, the scale of benefits of studying abroad is heavier than the one with disadvantages.
