For the Fall 2023 intake, Duke’s Fuqua School of Business did not waive the GRE or GMAT requirement for the Master of Quantitative Management (MQM) program. These standardized tests are still a crucial part of the admissions process as they help the admissions committee assess your analytical, quantitative, and verbal abilities, which are essential for success in the program.

However, Fuqua does consider the overall profile of the applicant, which includes academic performance, work experience, and other achievements. In some cases, if an applicant has exceptional qualifications or extensive relevant work experience, the admissions committee might take that into account, but it typically does not result in a waiver of the GRE/GMAT requirement.

It’s important to understand that Fuqua values the skills these tests measure and believes they are good predictors of your ability to handle the program’s challenging coursework. If you are worried about your test scores, it might be helpful to focus on strengthening other aspects of your application, such as your personal statement, recommendation letters, and any relevant work or research experience.

To ensure you meet all the requirements and submit a strong application, it’s a good idea to reach out directly to the admissions office for the most accurate and personalized information. They can provide guidance tailored to your specific situation and help clarify any uncertainties you might have.

In summary, the GRE or GMAT is still required for Duke’s Fuqua MQM program for Fall 2023, and it’s advisable to prepare well for these tests to enhance your application.
