740 score in GMAT is works like a strong point in your application but it does not guarrantee admission to a top MBA college. I know work experience, your academics, leadership skills & career goals also matter a lot but I would suggest you to focus on how your experience connects with your future goals.
With a 740 GMAT score you can stand out but your overall profile is the key factor which makes your application strong.
