Scoring 160+ in Verbal wasn&rsquo;t about grinding more&mdash;it came down to learning how the test thinks.
I began with a mock test from Mentr Me to figure out what I was weak at&mdash;turned out inference-based RC and 3-blank TC questions needed the most work. I followed GregMat&rsquo;s one-month plan loosely but adjusted it to 5 days a week, 2 hours per session.
Each session, I&rsquo;d do 45 minutes of RC practice (mostly from ETS and Manhattan) and 45 minutes of vocab&mdash;only using Anki decks with example sentences, not word lists. A few times a week, I watched explanation videos for tricky RC passages to understand how experienced test-takers broke them down.
In the final 10 days, I took timed Verbal sections every day and used a whiteboard to track logic mistakes or timing slips. Spotting how wrong answers are designed became my biggest strength by the end.
