Yes, MDI interviews can include personal or opinion-based questions ,  especially if your SOP or answers touch on social themes, ethics, or personal values.
These questions aren&rsquo;t random. They&rsquo;re meant to test how you think, how you respond under mild pressure, and whether you can justify your viewpoint logically. Some past candidates have been asked things like &ldquo;What&rsquo;s your take on fairness creams in advertising?&rdquo; or &ldquo;Do grooming standards impact employability?&rdquo; It&rsquo;s less about your stance and more about how you explain it.
Ethical scenarios are also common. You might get something like &ldquo;If your friend cheats in a group project, would you report it?&rdquo; They&rsquo;re not looking for a perfect answer,  just clear reasoning and consistency.
If you&rsquo;re hit with something unexpected, take a second to pause, think it through, and explain your perspective clearly. That calm response matters more than the opinion itself.
