A lot of applicants assume they have to submit a GMAT &mdash; but EDHEC actually evaluates the whole profile first, and only asks for scores when they feel it&rsquo;s necessary.

You can apply without GMAT or GRE, and if your academic performance and professional background are strong enough, you might not be asked for it at all.
That said, if you have a lower GPA, non-quant degree, or less brand-name experience, submitting a 610+ GMAT Focus Edition score can tip the scale.
It&rsquo;s also useful for scholarship consideration &mdash; even a decent score can show commitment and help you stand out.
For competitive tracks like Business Management or Financial Economics, applicants with GMAT scores often have an edge.

The takeaway is that GMAT isn&rsquo;t a fixed requirement, but having it ,  especially a strong score,  gives you more control over how your application is viewed.

EDHEC MiM does not strictly require the GMAT &mdash; but having a competitive score can significantly boost your chances, especially if you're from a non-target background or have average academics.
Applicants can apply without a GMAT or GRE, but the admissions team may ask for it later if your transcript lacks quantitative strength. A GMAT Focus Edition score of 615+ is generally considered competitive, and can strengthen your profile for scholarships as well.
If you&rsquo;re applying to the Financial Economics track (which is their most selective), a good GMAT score adds credibility,  especially if you don&rsquo;t have a finance undergrad or relevant work experience. That track tends to attract candidates who&rsquo;ve done some level of math-heavy coursework or shown quant readiness.
So while it&rsquo;s not mandatory for all applicants, a solid GMAT score definitely helps,  both for admission and post-admit scholarship decisions.
