A strong GMAT score and 10 years in IT consulting definitely strengthen your profile, but securing a full scholarship for Executive MBA programs at IIM Ahmedabad (PGPX), Bangalore (EPGP), or Calcutta (MBAEx) is highly unlikely. These programs offer only partial scholarships, usually in the range of ₹3–7 lakhs.

IIM A offers need-based scholarships after admission, typically to candidates with family incomes below ₹20 lakhs per year. While a GMAT of 720+ and solid IT consulting experience are beneficial, full tuition waivers are not part of IIM’s standard aid system.

One key point is international exposure is not required for scholarship eligibility, but it may limit some global role opportunities post-MBA. Still, candidates with strong project leadership, cross-functional team experience, and a clear career path often receive partial aid. Full scholarships are extremely rare and mostly tied to unique cases involving financial hardship or exceptional non-traditional backgrounds.

Hoping for a full scholarship with a high GMAT and 10 years in IT consulting? It’s a strong profile, but full funding at IIM A, B, or C is almost never offered.

All three IIMs provide partial scholarships only, and these are awarded after admission. GMAT scores above 700 and solid domain experience improve your merit standing, but aid still typically covers ₹3–6 lakhs.

Need-based aid at IIM A and merit-based awards at IIM B focus more on financial background, career impact, and leadership—not just test scores or industry. Lack of international experience doesn’t hurt your chances, as IIMs focus more on the scope of your work than geography.

One rare exception is candidates from public sector, development, or diversity categories have occasionally received maximum aid, but not full tuition waivers. So while your profile puts you in a strong spot for partial aid, full scholarships remain highly uncommon across all three IIMs.
