HEC Paris doesn&rsquo;t offer GMAT waivers just for having an engineering degree and a few years of experience. Their policy is specific only applicants with a top-ranked Master in Management (MiM) degree may qualify for a waiver.
So even with a solid STEM background and three years in the industry, a GMAT or GRE score is still required unless you've done a MiM from a school HEC considers top-tier. The idea is that the MiM already proves academic strength in the same areas GMAT tests.
If you haven&rsquo;t done a MiM, best to plan for the GMAT Focus or GRE. HEC expects all other applicants to submit a valid score.
