There are more than enough universities in Australia that offer data science and artificial intelligence (AI) courses. Among many, some are even the best #100 global ranked universities. Australia is a very nice and popular choice in education abroad. Thousands of students every year select Australian universities for the same. The reasons are more than you can count.

Compared to countries like the USA and the UK, the cost of education in Australia is cheap. It is an affordable country where you can find many data science and AI programs. But first, you need to know that in foreign countries like Australia, BTech is basically a BSc degree. It's just the name, nothing else. The study pattern and qualification level remain the same. With that out of the way, let's see what universities are good for data science and AI in Australia.

  1. The University of Melbourne
  2. The University of Sydney
  3. The University of Queensland
  4. The University of New South Wales (UNSW)

Out of all the top universities available in Australia, these four are the major ones that have data science and AI-related programs available. The University of Melbourne and Sydney are among the best universities in the country; they are also ranked among the top global universities. All of these four universities had data science and AI courses that are widely recognized. With a degree from these universities, you are sure to find many jobs and career options.

But there are things that are very crucial to consider when applying to Australian universities. Test scores like GRE are extremely important here. Because your previous grades are flexible, if you have lower grades, you can basically compensate for them with your curricula, certificates, experience, community involvement and a lot of other non-academic things. But having a good GTE score ensures admission into a good university. If the admission committee has to decide between two similar candidates, GRE scores play a big role here.

Another thing that is important here is the language test. Exams like IELTS and TOEFL are pretty famous, and everyone knows that you need these to get admission to universities abroad. Do not neglect this aspect as it is not at all flexible. If you want to know more about it, I would be happy to help. Just ask anything related to education abroad or Australia in particular.
