Are there any structured GMAT Verbal study plans or resources for someone who doesn’t have a strong English background?

I didn&rsquo;t have a strong English base, so I broke Verbal prep into daily habits. Here&rsquo;s what helped over three months:

Started with BBC Learning English to fix grammar basics like sentence structure and clauses
Used TTP Verbal for Critical Reasoning &mdash; their micro-lessons and quizzes helped build logic step by step
Read one editorial article a day from The Hindu and wrote a three-line summary &mdash; helped with retention before jumping into GMAT passages
Practiced two CR questions and one RC passage daily using Mentr Me&rsquo;s Verbal practice sets &mdash; they&rsquo;re organized by topic and difficulty
Kept an error log and tagged each mistake (e.g., flawed reasoning, tone misread, wrong inference). Reviewed it every Sunday

Focusing on just one Verbal skill per day worked better than bouncing between random questions. It kept the pace consistent and progress measurable.

If you're not confident in English, the GMAT Verbal section can feel overwhelming,  but the right resources can make it manageable. Since Verbal in the current GMAT is only Critical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension, start slow and build gradually.
For Critical Reasoning, E-GMAT&rsquo;s CR course is highly structured and made for non-native speakers. It breaks down question types,  assumptions, strengthen/weaken, evaluate,  with short video lessons and concept checkpoints. Their Scholaranium tool helps track weak areas.
For Reading Comprehension, begin with untimed practice from the GMAT Official Guide or use RC sets from GMAT Club. Aim for 3 passages a week for the first month. Summarize each paragraph in one line,  that builds comprehension without relying on speed.
Track your errors by category (e.g., wrong inference, missed scope, misread tone), and review weekly. If you stay consistent for 10&ndash;12 weeks, you&rsquo;ll build both understanding and accuracy,  even without a strong English background.
