Are executive MBA programs in India worth it, or should professionals consider options abroad?

Executive MBA programs in India have mushroomed ever since, and they do make sense, especially for those professionals who would like to stay within the Indian business environment. Indian programs tend to focus on the local market, which means you get insights that are highly relevant if you're planning to work or continue your career here… Plus, these programs are generally more affordable than those abroad, with some costing 10-30 lakhs depending on the institution.
However, the whole aspect of global exposure is a bit different. Though an Indian executive MBA involves international case studies and collaborations, it is not as much exposed as you would be in those schools abroad. Most universities, in the case of Europe or the US, have a very cosmopolitan student body, and that applies to their alumni networks as well; which can be an asset if you're planning to work in another country or work for multinationals.
It ultimately depends on where you see your career going. An Indian executive MBA makes sense, if your focus is advancing your position within India. If you are looking at a more global trajectory or have exposure to various business cultures, then perhaps you would look outside the country.
