applied last year on my own, rejected from lse/bocconi… should i try again with mim-essay for mfin?

i was in the same spot last year applied to bocconi mfin on my own and got rejected, so i know the feeling. my profile wasnt great&hellip; 7 gpa, 635 gmat focus, just 1 finance internship in a small firm. this year i went with mimessay. they told me my school picks were a bit out of reach and asked me to add safer ones like smu/essec. had to redo my essays a couple of times, which was tiring, but they did look sharper in the end. i finally got admits from smu  and essec so going with them turned out to be the right move for me

if your gpa and gmat arent super strong, schools like lse/bocconi will need really sharp essays. i  haven seen people apply with mimessay and it seemed to help them. not saying it fixes everything, but better than facing another reject the same way. if you trust yourself to fix essays and prep alone, go ahead&hellip; if not, outside help might be worth it.

last year i went all in on schools like bocconi without much guidance and got rejected. this time i tried with mimessay. they asked me to balance things out instead of only focusing on the toughest options. had to put in extra work on my apps, but i managed to land an admit at a tier 2 mfin program in europe.

lse and bocconi are tough even for strong profiles so another solo try could mean the same result. if your gpa and gmat arent top tier, these schools will expect really sharp essays and a balanced school mix. i have seen people use mimessay for mfin and get better outcomes, though it still takes effort from your side too. if you think you can fix the weak points yourself, apply again alone&hellip; if not, working with a consultant might be safer this time.
