Regina M.Sc in Computer Science (Course-based route) Program Description

The MSc in Computer Science focuses on six major research areas: artificial intelligence and deep learning, data science and data analytics, human-centered computing and computational media, software engineering, systems, communication, and cybersecurity, and theoretical computer science.

The MSc program offers three options for completing degree requirements for fully qualified students: thesis route, project route, or course route.

One course at the 400-level is permitted for the MSc thesis or project routes. A program may use no more than two directed reading or special topics classes. Outside of Computer Science, no more than two courses may be taken. The program requirements differ slightly depending on the option selected. Two courses at the 400-level are permitted for the MSc course reroute. A program may use no more than five directed readings or special topics classes. Outside of Computer Science, no more than two courses may be taken.
