Eligibility:

Candidates meeting the following criteria are eligible for the program: 


 

  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% in aggregate of all courses taken at any of the Universities incorporated by either an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other Universities established under the section of Parliament or proclaimed to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the UGC. The candidate's Bachelor's degree or comparable qualification must include at least three years of schooling after finishing Higher Secondary Schooling (10+2).
  • Candidates sitting for their final year degree examination in 2022 can also apply, but they must provide proof of graduation and a minimum of 50 percent in the aggregate total of all subjects studied, or their tentative acceptance will be forced to cancel, and no fee will be refunded.
  • An applicant must take the CAT-2021 and XAT-2022 or have a legitimate GMAT score from a test between January 1, 2020, and January 31, 2022.
  • Candidates in their final year of a bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification test are also eligible to apply. Such applicants must, however, produce a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their University/institution verifying that they have received 50 percent or comparable marks based on the most recent available grades/marks. Every year, the deadline for submitting the mark sheet and certificate is October 15. If this criterion is not met, the provisional admission will be instantly canceled.
  • Applicants should be aware that simply meeting the minimum qualifying requirements will not guarantee selection for shortlisting. Throughout the screening process, applicants must disclose and keep a valid and distinctive email address as well as a phone number.
  • All applicants must take the Common Admission Test (CAT) administered by the IIMs in November/December of each year or the XAT 2022. XLRI administers the XAT Exam every year, or you must have a certified GMAT score.
  • Foreign students, PIO, and NRI-sponsored applicants are also eligible but must sit the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) outside of India.
  • All applicants must take the Common Admission Test (CAT) administered by the IIMs in November/December of each year or the XAT 2022. Selection Process

Valid CAT/XAT/GMAT scores, past academic performance, job experience, as well as other information supplied in the Application form are used to shortlist candidates. Only shortlisted applicants will be invited to the Discussion, Extempore/Written Analysis Test, and Personal Interview, which are held each year from February to March.


Program Structure

Six trimesters comprise the two-year comprehensive Post Graduate Diploma in Management in Data Science curriculum. During the first year, the emphasis is largely on basic (compulsory) courses to lay the groundwork for specialized study in several disciplines of Machine Intelligence and Data Science.

These fundamental courses assist students in developing sound technical foundations as well as core managerial ideas.

Marketing, OB/HR, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, General Management, and Machine Intelligence and Information Science subjects are covered in the courses. Hands-on instruction on software for implementing the topics taught is heavily emphasized.

Indian citizens who have taken the GMAT must present their GMAT results while applying and must provide an authenticated version of the GMAT chart to the College for verification during the personal interview. GMAT score without the required paperwork will not be accepted, and your application may be denied outright.

Students choose two optional subjects moreover to 11 obligatory courses in their second year. This allows them to continue in-depth studies in their fields of specialty. In addition, AI for Sales, AI for Financial Applications, and Advance AI are available as electives.

Last year, students also completed a Capstone Project under the supervision of a faculty member.

The capstone spans three trimesters and consists of students constructing a portfolio to assist them in undertaking real-life projects for data insights utilizing AI and DS methodologies for management application. Participants must also complete online certifications that yield credit.
