Eligibility Requirements for Canberra MSc in f Data Science

  • Applicants must have an Australian bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent.
    Applicants are also expected to have a Year 12 mathematics and functional knowledge of using computer systems.
  • TOEFL Marks - 79/120, With no skill score below
    • Reading: 13
    • Listening: 12
    • Speaking: 18
    • Writing: 21
  • PTE Marks - 58/90, With no skill score below 50.
    IELTS Marks - 6.5/9, With no band score below 6.0.
  • Other eligibility criteria - ELP waiver if:
    • An All India Senior School Certificate (AISSC) with a minimum of 80% in English
    • An Indian School Certificate (ISC) with a minimum of 80% in English
    • An Indian State Board Higher Secondary School Examination (Year 12) result of 80% or more in English
  • Applicants who have received a conditional offer, they need to satisfy the conditions outlined in their offer letter before they can accept. Once they have uploaded the required documents and satisfied the conditions of their offer, the university will email them confirming that they can now accept their offer and pay their acceptance fee.

Data analysis and modelling underpins all aspects of social and community development and thanks to the internet and smart phones there has been a dramatic growth in the scale and complexity of data that can be collected and analysed across industries including health care, sports, business practices, scientific discoveries and government policy.
